Chris Tucker may play an inventive liar (who turns out to be a good friend to Bradley Cooper's character) in "Silver Linings Playbook," but while he was on set, his focus was true -- he was keeping an eye on co-star Robert De Niro.
"It (was) like being in a dream," he told TODAY's Willie Geist, Al Roker, Natalie Morales and Savannah Guthrie on Wednesday. "It's like, 'The Godfather,' all these famous movies he's done.... It was a little nervous, sometimes, you mess up your lines, he's like 'OK, do it again, do it again.'" Tucker slipped into an effortless De Niro impersonation, adding, "He invited me into his trailer, he gave the 'Godfather' thing, 'Take your time ... you're gonna be all right.'"
Check out what else Tucker had to say in the video -- including news about the future of more "Rush Hour" movies.
"Silver Linings Playbook" opens in theaters Nov. 21.
