The Psychology Department at the University of Illinois at Springfield has an opening beginning August 16, 2013, for a tenure-track position
at the Assistant Professor level. Requirements include a Ph.D. from an accredited university, with a focus in Industrial/Organizational
(I/O) Psychology or Judgment & Decision Making, to teach undergraduate upper and lower division courses in Industrial &
Organizational Psychology, Judgment & Decision Making, Personnel Selection, Research Methods, Senior Seminar, and Principles of
Psychology/Introduction to Psychology, with the possibility of teaching Psychological Tests & Measurements, Statistics for the
Behavioral Sciences, and courses in the candidate's specialty area. Normal teaching load is three 4 credit hour courses per semester, with
the potential for online teaching and evening classes. Advising is required. The applicant should demonstrate potential for scholarship
and/or research in a specialty area. College teaching experience is preferred, and dedication to teaching is essential. A Ph.D. must be
awarded by the start date.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Psychology with specialized training in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Judgment & Decision Making from a regionally accredited university by the start date.
